Protecting our Forests
Profence is a member of The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), an international network designed to promote responsible management of the world’s forests. It provides standard setting, trademark assurance and accreditation services for companies who are interested in responsible forestry.
We want to ensure that we’re doing our part in helping to protect forests, by sourcing wood that comes from sustainable sources.
Profence also holds Chain of Custody (COC) certification. COC certification provides independent evidence that forest products originate from well-managed forests. It helps consumers and businesses make informed decisions about the timber products they buy.
And, the entire Profence team work together to ensure that the chain of custody process runs smoothly. We only buy from companies that can supply FSC timber, when it arrives we check it has all of the correct paperwork, so that when our customers ask for FSC products we can ensure their delivery notes and invoices include our COC code.
